Last October at the PRSA International Conference in Washington DC, after acquiring Vocus, Cision announced its new name – Cision. Also in October Cision acquired Visible Technologies. The combined entity, moving forward as Cision, is expected to provide better tools and services for PR professionals, digital marketers and other communicators.
An so it is today that Cision is retiring the Vocus company name. However, as it was also announced that the Vocus products, including the Vocus PR Suite, are still available and Cision will continue to support and enhance them they remain under Vocus in the JungleBuzz database so you can continue to find them.
Here’s some additional info on what these changes mean according to Cision:
The Vocus website will integrate with the Cision website – combining the white papers, tip sheets, pitch kits, reports and webinars in one central location, a new hub for PR, social media and content marketing news. Cision combined the blogs in October, and they report that they’ve become one of the most visited PR news outlets in the world!
All our employees will begin using @cision.com email addresses. While emails to @vocus.com will continue to forward, you’ll begin hearing from Cision from new email addresses.
